Tiffany Brightwater's Adventure Report – Day the First
Well adventured, chaps! This morning we all met up to journey to Vashtor to deliver the Mystra relic to Brightstone.
There's Atrarzar the kenku ranger, who's so good at imitations you wouldn't believe it! He's also super handy with a rapier and really likes scratching runes into things.
There's Jeff Miller, who's apparently not a miller unlike me despite it literally being his last name – and his cousin Tom Smith isn't a smith either! Weird. He's a pretty normal guy despite having a crazy planar-jaunting life story.
And not to play favourites or anything but there's Arkanaxx the dragonborn, who is a wizard too and omigosh belongs to a Cleric of Mystra temple! I was so stoked when Master Dendra recommended me for this important mission for them, and he actually grew up among them!
Then there's little old me. Tiffany (call me Tif) from the little farming village of Yudale on the Sword Coast. Headed to Waterdeep in the Blade Coast to study wizarding. I brought honey gingersnap cookies for everyone.
We met a man called Storm-Eyes-Samuel, or something like that, a salty old dog who spoke ill of Umberlee once and got struck with lightning in both eyes, so he now wears an eyepatch over each eye (as he can no longer see). His crew were meanies and stole from him, so he had to ask them to leave, but a miller's daughter can handle anchors with the best of them, so we made it work!
We set off and I fell into the seafaring lifestyle like I was born for it. Off went the pointed wizard hat and on came the very normal large blue ribbon that's usually the bow on my blouse which I fashioned into a bandanna. Yarr, Cap'n!
The next day we had just sighted land (“Land ho!”) when a rude dragon wyrmling and a bundle of kobolds came to visit. They (mostly the dragon) demanded all our valuables including the Mystra relic, even after I gave them the last of the gingersnaps, but we said no. He and Jeff got into a bit of a scrap and I think we killed some of the kobolds although I personally tried not to, and we ultimately parted friends. Hooray for talking out your problems! Also Jess got acid breath blasted and then miraculously dragged himself back up, only to walk into some fire and fall down screaming again. Atrarzar perfectly mimicked his screams which was funny although not in the best taste. One of the kobolds shanked Jeff and almost killed him, but he pulled through thanks to Arkanaxx. We also made friends with Gleamscale the kobold, who decided to come with us. He's just the sweetest little guy.
We arrived in the early evening and found an inn for the night, the Salty Siren. I suggested we get hot cocoa and get into the deep and meaningfuls, since we'll be travelling together and we're such good mates already. We heard Jeff's life story, which was even more confusing than when we learned it earlier. Atrarzar had never had a great love, and Arkanaxx was an orphan, both of which were very sad. Of course, I told them about my great tragic heartbreak with my childhood friend Taen. I don't think we actually got to the point where we turned in for the night, but we were pretty much about to do that.
To good friends and more adventures! Half a day's journey to Brightstone!
